Two live Tracks Released with Record Label Threads of Sound

Today we're releasing two live tracks 'Idol Minds' and a cover of Chris Isaak's 'Wicked Game' with live record label Threads of Sound. This is the first time we're released something with a label so we're quite proud. Videos for the two songs are also available for you to relive the magic! Threads of sound are really lovely people who try to put on music the right way so please do support them and purchase some of the music they've produced... even better if it's ours! You'll find them and all their work here: http://www.threadsofsound.com/

Live Show Announcement

We are delighted to announce  an intimate concert showcasing a first listen to our new music, along with a set of haunting traditional songs by Admiral Fallow’s Sarah Hayes.

Since a 2012 that saw Turning Plates'' Escapism EP named 13th in the Heralds top albums of the year, and exciting tours of the US and UK (made more exciting by hurricanes and snowstorms) the band has been immersed in writing material for concept album ‘The Shouting Cave.’ Planned for release later in the year, the album looks at the social impact of the internet through the metaphor of people reborn into a wilderness of disconnectedness and uncertainty. We will be introducing this music for the first time and talking about the concepts and stories behind each song.

Animals (demo)

We haven't released any new music since Escapism so we thought we'd do a home demo video of us playing one of our new songs. Hopefully the first of much new music we'll release in 2013!

2012 Wrap up and Thanks!

Well our last gig of 2012 is done! Thanks to all who came down to threads of Sound at Stereo it was another great night for us. If you missed it there'll be a video in the New Year to look forward to!

2012 has been an amazing year with tours in the UK and USA as well as the opportunity to support Admiral Fallow and through all our gigs in Scotland where we've been very touched by the support shown!

We have big plans for 2013 including some new recorded work. We'll keep you posted on exactly what form that takes. There's likely to be a  couple of gigs in the central belt of Scotland around March so we'll announce that in the new year.

From everyone at Turning Plates, Thank you! and have a lovely festive period!

Dunc, Jase, Stephen, Tom and Jaxter.
